At Wolt, Applied Scientists work with AI and machine learning for the most important processes of the online delivery platform across 30 countries. They are embedded in product development teams to focus on specific areas with cross-functional collaboration. You'll take ownership from identifying opportunities to deploying solutions that improve in production.

Join the Inventory Routing and Replenishment team within the Merchant Group to develop tooling for Merchants and Wolt Markets. Build algorithms and data-driven products like demand forecasting and inventory optimization. Empower Merchants to automate retail inventory processes and boost procurement efficiency.

Collaborate closely with Product Leads, Software Engineers, Designers, and Product Data Analysts. Work with technologies including Python, SQL, Snowflake, and MLOps tools. Strive to improve tooling for rapid experimentation and innovation.

Requirements

Passion for Applied Science as a problem solver leveraging data science, machine learning, and AI to drive business results
Expertise in building robust, scalable models suitable for large-scale deployments
Manage the entire lifecycle of data science projects from ideation through production and maintenance
Strong foundations in ML and statistics with skills in modeling time-series data and forecasting at scale
Experience with Bayesian methods and optimization
Skilled in writing production-level Python code and following engineering excellence
Proficiency with SQL, Snowflake, and MLOps tools

Responsibilities

Take ownership of use cases within a product development team from identifying high-value opportunities to developing, prototyping, and deploying solutions
Develop algorithms and data-driven products such as demand forecasting and inventory optimization
Work with forecasting, machine learning, and statistical modeling to improve inventory availability and procurement efficiency
Develop insights for Merchants to efficiently manage inventory
Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, designers, and analysts on inventory tooling
Ensure solutions continuously improve in production using MLOps tools
Handle time-series data to produce reliable forecasts at scale
