Devoteam Malmö is a leading AWS, Azure, Snowflake and Google Cloud partner with 25 years of global experience. The Senior Data Engineer role positions you as a trusted advisor who leads technical work and helps Nordic organizations maximize value from their data.

You design and implement modern data architectures using Snowflake, dbt and Python. You build robust, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that turn raw data into reliable, analysis-ready datasets for production environments across diverse customer projects.

You work cross-functionally with stakeholders from multiple industries, translating business needs into technical solutions. You advise on data strategy, platform selection, governance and quality while coaching junior colleagues and contributing to Devoteam’s internal knowledge base.

You participate in presales activities including technical scoping, solution design and estimation. This is an opportunity to shape AI-driven data platforms and influence how leading Nordic companies manage their data.

Requirements

At least 5 years of practical experience in data engineering or a related field
Deep knowledge of Snowflake — architecture, performance optimization, security and cost optimization
Strong knowledge of Python for data pipeline development, testing and automation
Experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling
Experience in designing and managing production-ready ETL/ELT flows
Experience with at least one large cloud platform
Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

Design and implement modern data architectures with Snowflake, dbt and Python in diverse customer environments
Build robust, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines that transform raw data into reliable, analysis-ready datasets
Work closely with customer stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
Advise customers on data strategy, platform selection and best practices for data governance and data quality
Coach junior colleagues and contribute to Devoteam’s internal knowledge base and skills development
Participate in presales work with technical scoping, solution design and estimation
