As a Data Scientist Intern, mine, interpret, and clean rich datasets to uncover hidden opportunities. Ask questions, connect the dots, and realize the data’s full potential using mathematical and statistical expertise alongside creative thinking. Help produce innovative analytics from Geotab’s big data environment focused on safety, infrastructure, and productivity.

Work with data scientists and engineers who have curated near real-time and historical datasets from global sensors. Collaborate closely with Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Professional Services, Data Privacy & Governance, firmware teams, Software Development, and Solutions Engineering. Leverage data mining, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Neural Networks, AI, and statistical tools to build models.

Requirements

Mathematical and statistical expertise

Ability to mine, interpret, and clean data
Knowledge of data mining techniques
Familiarity with Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Neural Networks
Experience with Artificial Intelligence and statistical analysis tools

Responsibilities

Mine, interpret, and clean rich and large datasets
Ask questions, connect the dots, and uncover hidden opportunities
Produce innovative analytics from Geotab’s big data environment
Leverage data mining techniques, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Neural Networks, AI, and statistical analysis tools
Build models and high-quality prediction systems for customer decisions
Analyze data from global sensors to improve safety, infrastructure, and productivity
Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Professional Services, and other internal departments
