About this role
Comcast's Multimodal Analysis Framework (MAF) is an end-to-end platform that processes video, images, audio, and documents to generate rich, structured metadata at scale. As a mid-level Backend Engineer on the Machine Learning Platform team, you will build scalable backend systems powering ML workloads and LLM-driven applications.
Your day-to-day involves designing high-performance backend services in Golang, developing REST and gRPC APIs for inference and orchestration, and implementing asynchronous distributed processing patterns. You will also operate services on Kubernetes, manage infrastructure with Terraform, and build on AWS.
You will work closely with ML engineers to integrate inference services into backend workflows, focusing on latency, throughput, and cost. A core part of the role is designing platform capabilities that allow LLMs to safely and reliably interact with tools, data, and services via agent frameworks and MCP servers.
This is an opportunity to join an award-winning technology team that turns big ideas into cutting-edge products. Comcast creates space to innovate, recognizes and invests in your ideas, and encourages you to bring your authentic self to the workplace, where you can do the best work of your career.
