
About this role

As a Data & AI Engineer, you will support Orbia's Data & AI strategy by building scalable data pipelines, analytical models, and AI solutions on enterprise platforms.
Day-to-day, you will build and maintain data pipelines on Azure, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric, design analytical data models for reporting and AI use cases, and develop Python scripts for data ingestion, transformation, and automation. You will also support AI/ML solutions including RAG use cases, assist in model deployment, and create Power BI datasets and reports.
You will work closely with senior engineers and business stakeholders in a cross-functional, international team, translating business requirements into data and AI solutions. This role offers exposure to enterprise-scale data and AI platforms, with growing technical ownership as you ensure data quality, testing, documentation, and adherence to best practices.
As an early-career role, this position provides a strong foundation for growth in data engineering and AI, with the opportunity to impact business decisions through data products and insights. You will follow data governance, security, and compliance standards while contributing to Orbia's CEO-led transformation into a future-fit company.
Requirements
- 0–3 years’ experience (or recent graduate) in Data Engineering, Analytics, or related field
- Hands-on with Python and modern data stack (Azure, Databricks, Fabric preferred)
- Basic understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and ML concepts
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn fast in a global setup
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines on Azure, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric
- Design and support analytical data models for reporting, dashboards, and AI use cases
- Develop Python scripts for data ingestion, transformation, automation, and analysis
- Support AI/ML solutions (including RAG use cases) and assist in model deployment
- Create and maintain Power BI datasets and reports
- Partner with business teams to translate requirements into data and AI solutions
- Ensure data quality, testing, documentation, and adherence to best practices
- Follow data governance, security, and compliance standards
