About this role

Within Actimize, the AI and Analytics Team is developing the next generation advanced analytical cloud platform that harnesses the power of data for maximum accuracy in clients’ Financial Crime programs. As a Data Scientist in the PaaS/SaaS development group, you will develop, analyze, and program cutting-edge algorithms at the core of Actimize Premier fraud prevention and Anti-money Laundering applications for cloud-based solutions.

You will extend, develop, program, and implement new algorithms and underlying mathematical theory. Use your analytics skills to help design and implement core components of algorithms and models for our behavioral analytics and machine-learning platform, leader in Fraud Detection and Anti-money Laundering solutions.

Work with specialist Data Scientist engineers, software engineers, architects, and managers in the design process for software products and services. Interface with product managers and engineers to translate requirements into design for fraud detection, anti-money laundering, and data visualization, including with other R&D groups as needed.

Requirements

  • MS in Statistics, CS, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or other quantitative fields with focus on machine learning, mathematical algorithms, probability, and statistical modelling
  • 2+ years of experience in algorithm development and statistical analysis of massive datasets
  • Desire to balance theory with pragmatic problem-solving skills to develop and apply advanced algorithms to real world problems
  • Ability to work with product managers and engineers to translate requirements into design for fraud detection, AML, and data visualization
  • Passionate about being at the forefront of Fraud detection, Anti-Money Laundering, and cyber-crime

Responsibilities

  • Develop, analyze, and program cutting-edge algorithms for fraud prevention and Anti-money Laundering applications
  • Extend, develop, program, and implement new algorithms and underlying mathematical theory
  • Use analytics skills to design and implement core components of algorithms and models
  • Work with specialist Data Scientist engineers, software engineers, architects, and managers in the design process
  • Translate requirements into implementable design with product managers and engineers for fraud detection, AML, and data visualization
  • Ensure intended design and quality levels through regular code reviews and testing
  • Contribute high volumes of quality code delivered in regular releases and deployments
