Staff Software Engineers build new interactive data visualizations to help climate leads understand company emissions. They also build APIs to unify carbon data access and create tools that help financial institutions measure emissions across portfolio companies.

You will ship code to production on day one and collaborate with product, design, climate science, and data science teams. The work focuses on building and iterating on software that helps customers understand their climate data effectively.

Watershed has hub offices in San Francisco, New York, London, and Mexico City with satellite offices in Denver and other cities. Employees in office locations work from the office four days per week while contributing to a growing engineering team at a mission-oriented startup.

Requirements

8+ years of software engineering industry experience, preferably in Node.js web development or data pipelines.
Experience building scalable software starting from user needs.
Excited to join a startup and ready to help evolve a growing engineering team.
Willing to work from an office 4 days per week.
