The role focuses on supporting the design and implementation of DevSecOps pipelines while embracing a test-driven software development approach.
Daily work includes assisting cross-functional teams with CI/CD pipeline development, automated testing, and continuous delivery processes. Additional duties involve selecting and integrating tools to optimize software development flow and automating artifact generation and releases while meeting quality and cybersecurity requirements.
This hybrid position is based at the Aguadilla, PR location with three days onsite and two days remote. U.S. citizenship is required due to program and contract access restrictions. The role supports aerospace engineering teams working on technologies that maintain world leadership in the industry.
You will learn about the growing engineering team in Puerto Rico, the technologies used in aerospace, and why employees find fulfillment working in this field. The position offers opportunities to help development teams adopt DevSecOps tools and best practices while building dashboards for performance metrics.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
- Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Internship or project experience with CI/CD pipeline development and automation tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Familiarity with containerization, orchestration, and security practices in DevSecOps environments.
- Some knowledge of aerospace, defense, or medical devices with a focus on secure software development and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the collaboration with cross-functional teams to design and implement efficient DevSecOps pipelines tailored to software development needs.
- Support the development of automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery processes to enhance efficiency and accelerate software development cycles.
- Help with the implementation and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines.
- Assist in selecting, configuring, and integrating tools to enhance software development flow.
- Provide support in DevSecOps implementation to assist software teams in adopting DevSecOps tools and best practices.
- Enable development teams to automate artifact generation and manage product lifecycles efficiently.
- Assist in automating software releases while ensuring quality, cybersecurity, and safety requirements are met.
- Help design, develop, and maintain dashboards that display DevSecOps metrics and performance measures.
