About this role

This global role leads the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud and infrastructure solutions that support Ambu A/S's strategic objectives. The architect will drive digital transformation across multi-cloud environments, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure and additional expertise in AWS and GCP.

Day-to-day, this individual contributor develops and maintains cloud architecture blueprints and roadmaps, ensuring all solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective. The role emphasizes architectural leadership through structured design, automation, and innovation, collaborating with stakeholders and guiding technical teams to align technology with business needs.

The architect works effectively with distributed teams across regions and time zones, adapting to varying schedules to ensure seamless delivery and alignment. This position requires cross-culture communication, collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds to maintain consistent architectural standards globally.

Operating within a structured governance framework, the architect establishes and enforces standards, policies, and best practices while ensuring compliance with frameworks like GDPR, NIS2, and GxP. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive cloud adoption strategies, including migration and modernization initiatives, within a global medical technology organization.

Requirements

Deep expertise in cloud platforms, primarily Microsoft Azure
Strong understanding of networking, security, storage, and compute in cloud environments
Experience with automation, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills in a global environment
Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability
Cross-culture communication: ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds
5+ years of experience in cloud architecture or related roles

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain cloud and infrastructure architecture blueprints and roadmaps
Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions for cloud and hybrid environments
Define and drive cloud adoption strategies, including migration and modernization initiatives
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and operations teams
Lead solution design reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles
Drive automation and Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
Identify opportunities for cost optimization, performance improvement, and operational efficiency
Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones to ensure consistent architectural standards and solution delivery
