About this role

Qualcomm is a leading supplier of chipset platforms for automotive applications. As Staff Product Manager for Camera ADAS, you will manage the Automotive Camera roadmap and drive product strategy for IVI and ADAS. You will promote technology and industry-leading trends, directing all phases of the product.

You will review identified gaps in the market based on analyses of ecosystem demands and make portfolio decisions on how these gaps impact product roadmaps. You will validate business cases and translate customer needs into successful product portfolios, facilitating decisions necessary for product delivery.

You will drive effective cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, program management, and other internal partners to meet customer expectations and deadlines. This is an office-based position in San Diego, requiring compliance with the company's onsite work policy. You will drive communication plans with internal customers, third-party vendors, and senior management.

You will drive portfolio launch strategies and identify technical marketing opportunities such as conferences and direct customer contact. You will prepare and deliver technical presentations to demonstrate and market product portfolios to customers, integrating feedback into project roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of camera systems (sensor + ISP + SW pipeline).
  • Strong understanding of Embedded / Linux / Android systems.
  • Experience with ADAS / surround view / driver monitoring feature ownership.
  • Proven experience in product lifecycle management with end-to-end ownership and roadmap definition.
  • Ability to translate customer needs into product roadmaps and drive customer-driven product development.
  • Cross-functional coordination across engineering and business teams with strong stakeholder management.
  • Ability to make trade-offs across cost, performance, and timelines to deliver on aggressive schedules.
  • Experience in go-to-market strategies and technical marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Review identified gaps in the market based on complex analyses of overall ecosystem demands and make portfolio decisions on how these gaps impact product roadmaps.
  • Validate business cases and determine relevance to organizational strategy; contribute to creation of the product roadmap to advance organizational strategy.
  • Translate customer needs, product roadmaps, and organizational strategy into successful product portfolios and facilitate decisions necessary for product delivery by partnering with cross-functional leaders.
  • Drive portfolio launch strategies and identify technical marketing opportunities such as conferences, congresses, and direct customer contact to ensure successful product launch.
  • Review, prepare, and deliver technical presentations regarding product roadmaps, RFPs, and/or proposals to demonstrate and market product portfolios to customers, integrating customer feedback into project roadmaps.
  • Drive effective cross-functional collaboration by ensuring Engineering and other internal partners meet customer expectations, promised deadlines, and align with overall roadmap for product portfolio(s).
  • Drive communication plans and communicate appropriately with internal customers, third-party vendors, and senior management to build relationships, ensure alignment and buy-in, and achieve product goals.
