SWBC seeks talented students for its College Intern Program. Interns gain practical hands-on experience and training for growth within the financial services industry. Assist with preparation of measurement reports showing results in application security areas. Learn key technical skills to apply knowledge and support problem solving. Each area introduces operations of a successful IT department in a growing financial enterprise.

Work alongside and shadow team members to expand knowledge base and develop skills. Receive real-time learning from talented professionals in the financial services industry. Undertake projects that are impactful and meaningful to SWBC operations.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Systems, Business Management, Risk or Emergency Management, or related program
  • Expected graduation date of December 2026 or later
  • Familiarity with secure software development practices and DevSecOps concepts
  • Understanding of OWASP Top 10, secure coding practices, or common application vulnerabilities
  • Experience with security platforms such as GitHub Advanced Security, Burp Suite, or similar tools
  • Experience with Python or another scripting language
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation of measurement reports showing the results of application security areas
  • Learn key technical skills to apply acquired knowledge and assist in problem solving
  • Gain practical hands-on experience in secure software development practices
  • Work alongside and shadow team members while expanding knowledge base
  • Support identification of common application vulnerabilities per OWASP Top 10
  • Contribute to DevSecOps concepts and secure coding practices
  • Assist in security assessments using tools like GitHub Advanced Security or Burp Suite
