AlphaSense seeks a highly analytical, entrepreneurial Data Analyst to serve as the analytical engine for the Product Management team and own key product analytics questions. This NYC-based role acts as connective tissue between raw data and strategic product decisions. You will not build traditional dashboards but focus on high-impact analysis.

Tackle complex product questions like the true impact of GenAI features on WAU/DAU retention and user habit formation. Architect infrastructure for PMs to query BigQuery using natural language. Transition from request-and-wait dashboard culture to real-time, AI-empowered ecosystem.

Collaborate seamlessly with the technical data team in India while serving as the strategic data face for NYC product leadership. The 2024 Tegus acquisition advances AI-driven market intelligence, accelerating growth and content expansion. Requirements

  • Deep product and business intuition with demonstrated ability to understand product strategy and key metrics
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex data insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven ability to influence decision-making across cross-functional teams particularly with Product Management
  • Stats-first mindset knowing which statistical tests to apply and how to interpret results
  • Expert-level SQL proficiency
  • Comfortable using Python, working with APIs, LLMs, and agentic frameworks
  • Curiosity and adaptability to explore new AI tooling frameworks and apply to business problems
  • Collaborative leadership to work with remote India data team and NYC product teams

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the analytical engine for the Product Management team
  • Own the most important product analytics questions
  • Conduct deep strategic analysis on complex product questions such as impact of GenAI features on WAU/DAU retention and user habit formation
  • Architect infrastructure allowing PMs to query BigQuery database using natural language
  • Transition product analytics from request-and-wait dashboard culture to real-time AI-empowered ecosystem
  • Collaborate with remote technical data engineering team in India
  • Present data insights to product leadership team in NYC
