About this role

We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to build and deploy a production-grade AI-powered knowledge search platform using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). You will work on scalable, secure, and bilingual AI solutions in a hybrid cloud environment. This role focuses on end-to-end AI system development.

Design and implement end-to-end RAG pipelines, including retrieval, reranking, and LLM orchestration. Build data ingestion pipelines from CMS and document sources, managing chunking and embeddings. Develop prompt templates, guardrails, and evaluation frameworks to ensure robust performance.

Implement security controls such as ACLs and access filtering for production readiness. Deploy and manage services using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes on AKS. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps for efficient workflows.

Support performance tuning and operations during early production phases in a Brussels-based hybrid setup. Collaborate on long-term missions up to 880 working days. Gain hands-on experience delivering bilingual AI solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with Python and AI/ML systems
  • Hands-on experience with RAG, LLMs, and vector databases
  • Experience with Azure (AKS, Azure OpenAI, API Management)
  • Proven experience with Terraform and Kubernetes/Helm
  • Experience building and deploying production AI systems
  • Experience delivering RAG systems to production
  • Dutch or French (fluent)
  • English (professional proficiency)
