About this role

Captivation Software is looking for a software engineer to provide customer support and infrastructure services with quick response capabilities for SIGINT and Cyber Solutions. Our team of engineers take pride in what they develop and constantly innovate to provide the best solution.

You'll build conventional Rest Services, query MongoDB and Elasticsearch, and work within a Docker/Compose enabled environment. Comfort moving between frontend and backend development is essential, with experience using Gitlab and Jira.

This position supports a mission to protect our country, requiring a current Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph. The team values getting stuff done and making a difference, with an emphasis on AI assisted development and eagerness to learn.

With a salary range of $130,000 to $270,000 and up to 20% 401k contribution vested from day one, this role offers substantial growth. Benefits include 6 weeks PTO and company-paid insurance, making it an attractive opportunity for experienced engineers.

Requirements

Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph; U.S. citizen.
At least seven (7) years of experience as a SWE in programs of similar scope; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline (or 5 additional years of relevant experience).
Experience with Python, FASApi, JavaScript, JSON, CSS.
Experience building conventional Rest Services.
Experience querying MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
Experience working within a Docker/Compose enabled environment.
Experience and comfort moving between frontend and backend development.
AI assisted development experience; eager to learn, energetic, and highly motivated.

Responsibilities

Provide customer support and infrastructure services with quick response capabilities for SIGINT and Cyber Solutions.
Build and maintain conventional Rest Services.
Query and manage data in MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
Develop and deploy applications within a Docker/Compose enabled environment.
Use Gitlab for version control and Jira for project tracking.
Move between frontend and backend development as needed.
Leverage AI assisted development tools and practices.
Constantly innovate and develop solutions that make a difference in support of the mission.
