About this role
At One NZ we’re not just imagining the future, we’re building it. Our purpose is a better-connected Aotearoa New Zealand, and our ambition is to become the most AI-enabled telco on the planet. As the Cyber Security Engineer, you will support the daily operations of our cyber security services that protect the organisation from cyber threats.
You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures across critical platforms and digital assets, ensuring strong security hygiene, lifecycle management, and regular reviews of system security posture. Your day-to-day work involves ensuring security event logs are maintained and monitored, developing security use cases through event log correlation, and supporting vulnerability management activities across on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
Working closely with the wider cyber security team and the Cyber Defence Centre, you’ll help ensure the effectiveness, reliability, and continuous improvement of security protocols, tools, and services across the One NZ environment. You will also participate in an on-call and call-out roster to support our 24/7 operational environment when required.
We are investing in our people like never before, empowering them to grow, lead, and shape what’s next. Through our AI School, access to world-class learning platforms, and career pathways that evolve with you, we create an environment where your curiosity thrives and your skills accelerate.
