About this role

Sev1Tech seeks an Infrastructure as Code DevSecOps Engineer to support a federal customer's infrastructure-agnostic platform. This enables the DoD’s vast options including government clouds, on-premise, disconnected, and classified environments. Deploy a CNCF Kubernetes-compliant DevSecOps platform with accredited, secured hardened containers from the DoD Centralized Artifacts Repository.

Maintain and support the DevSecOps stack across multiple security classifications. Leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) to onboard DoD platform teams onto Kubernetes distributions like Rancher, OpenShift, and VMWare Tanzu. Handle commercial cloud, multi-cloud, hybrid, intermittent-connected, and disconnected environments.

Develop IaC/CaC fully agnostic to cloud, on-premise, and edge using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and Kubernetes Operators. Enhance cybersecurity and code security processes for the Platform One stack across classified and unclassified environments. Collaborate with Kubernetes distribution creators for seamless support.

Implement DevSecOps using Jenkins, Gitlab, or similar for CI/CD pipelines and containerized applications in Kubernetes. Bring passion for automation in a large enterprise with hundreds of applications and a strong security-first mindset. Contribute to faster DoD operational capabilities.

Requirements

B.S. in Computer Science, Math, or similar degree
Minimum of three (3) years of experience developing and managing the CI/CD pipelines of a wide variety of applications
Five (5) years of experience as a major contributor in a DevOps environment utilizing AWS and AWS Services; heavy containerization experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Gitlab, or similar tools
Active Secret level clearance
Experience on Platform One's tool sets and methodologies
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for a large enterprise consisting of hundreds of applications
Certified DevSecOps Professional (CDP), Certified DevSecOps Expert (CDE), or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)

Responsibilities
