We are seeking a talented Analytics Engineer to join our Data Team and collaborate with Data Analysts, Developers, and Data Scientists in implementing a Data Mesh architecture that enables domains to access trusted data easily.

Your daily adventures will include providing expertise and collaborating with stakeholders to develop new data products and improve existing ones in a Data Mesh environment. You will continuously engage with data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to understand problems, gather requirements, and define deliverables that match business needs.

You will work hand-in-hand with developers to create and capture data aligned with business logic, enabling powerful modeling and analysis. You own the quality, availability, and trustworthiness of data by applying data quality checks and data contracts, and perform analysis to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.

This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and maintain the definitive source of truth for KPIs, empowering strategic decisions across all domains. You will work towards creating a self-service environment where data is accessible by everyone, within a multinational, diverse, and highly motivated team of passionate data professionals.

Requirements

  • Curiosity in your essence, aligned with attention to detail
  • Previous experience working in a data-driven analytics environment, preferably within tech product organizations
  • Expert level of SQL (especially SparkSQL) and experience in building data pipelines – core requirement
  • Good knowledge of at least one programming language; core language is Python
  • Exceptional analytical skills, lateral thinking, and proven experience solving highly challenging problems
  • Experience working with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Qlikview) and event tracking (e.g. Mixpanel, Google Analytics)
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Hive, Spark, Trino, Databricks, and Airflow is helpful

Responsibilities

  • Providing expertise and collaborating with stakeholders to develop new data products and improve existing ones in a Data Mesh environment
  • Continuously engaging with data analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to understand problems, gather requirements, and define the best deliverables to match business needs

  • Owning the quality, availability, and trustworthiness of data by applying data quality checks and data contracts
  • Performing data analysis to troubleshoot data-related issues and assist in resolving them
  • Designing, building, and maintaining the definitive source of truth for KPIs, empowering strategic decisions across all domains
  • Working towards the creation of an environment where self-service capabilities are available and data can be accessible by everyone
