About this role

Sodexo has embarked on an Azure public cloud transformation to modernize infrastructure platforms and enterprise applications. The goal is to boost sustainable business growth and enhance services through Azure cloud services and technologies. A dedicated team of Cloud Architects is being assembled within the North American region.

The architect will design technical solutions with emphasis on user experience, scalability, standardization, costs, and security. Multiple concurrent projects must be accurately scoped while delivery timelines are met. Technical documentation and architecture diagrams will be created to support all initiatives.

Work occurs across a hybrid cloud platform in close coordination with Global Teams covering Infrastructure, Security, Network, Enterprise, Application, and Data domains. Interaction extends to Cloud Competency Centers across regions and with architects from Enterprise, Data, Security, Network, and Application disciplines.

Alignment with Sodexo Global Standards and the Global Cloud Competency Center is required throughout the transformation. Recommendations on Cloud Platform usage within the ecosystem will help maintain consistency while architectural choices remain oriented to enterprise guidance and principles.

Requirements

Strong understanding across Cloud and infrastructure components including servers, Virtualization, storage, network, data, and applications
Knowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, and SIEM
Ability to check and analyze the technical impacts of new solutions and their integration within the existing ecosystem
Experience working with Global Teams to ensure platforms are secure and compliant with standards and strategy
Capability to understand business and technology dependencies and deliver solutions collaboratively
Skill in managing partner relationships and development efforts across multiple teams

Responsibilities

Architect, design, develop, and troubleshoot cloud solutions across a hybrid cloud platform
Design the technical architecture with a focus on user experience, scalability, standardization, costs, and security
Accurately scope multiple concurrent project requirements and meet delivery timelines
Create technical documentation and architecture diagrams
Recommend technical solutions based on Sodexo Global Standards to maintain consistency
Advise on the use and possible implementations of Cloud Platforms within the Sodexo ecosystem
Manage architectural choices and orientations while keeping alignment with the Global standards
Promote the architectural standards defined by the Global Cloud Competency Center
