In this role, you'll be a pivotal individual contributor shaping how Pinterest's Ads organization leverages data for strategic decision-making and operational excellence. You'll serve as a central expert, empowering product, engineering, and business teams with accessible, reliable data and actionable insights.

You'll partner closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical problems. Your work will directly inform downstream ML applications and broader product improvements, ensuring data insights drive meaningful outcomes.

Requirements

  • Strong business and product acumen with the ability to drive data-driven decision-making aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Proven ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical problems and provide the 'why' and 'how' behind performance.
  • Experience ensuring data integrity, consistency, and reliability in analytical outputs that influence strategic and operational decisions.
  • Ability to act as a proactive and influential thought partner, anticipating future product needs and identifying impactful data questions.
  • Skill in connecting revenue performance data with product actions and metrics to understand business growth drivers.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders across technical and non-technical backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Ads Product Strategy across Pinterest by leveraging strong business and product acumen to proactively identify opportunities and generate insights.
  • Translate complex business needs into data solutions by partnering with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to understand challenges.
  • Ensure data trustworthiness and quality by establishing high standards for data integrity, consistency, and reliability in all analytical outputs.
  • Be a strategic thought partner, acting as a key advisor to Product Managers and Engineering leaders to define the analytical roadmap.
  • Connect financial and product performance by serving as a liaison with BizOps, Finance, and Strategy teams to provide a holistic view of business impact.
  • Communicate for impact by articulating complex data findings and strategic insights clearly to both technical and non-technical senior stakeholders.
