About this role
As a Senior Data Scientist in the Cyber Operations department at Maersk, your primary role is to turn data into actionable insights. You leverage tools, statistical models, AI and Machine Learning to enable data-driven decision-making for threat intelligence.
You will be accountable for the effective collection, processing and analysis of large datasets. This includes identifying patterns and anomalies in security tooling while developing causal inference and predictive models to support threat detection at scale.
You report to the Head of Cyber Threat Intelligence and work alongside CTI Analysts as a subject matter expert. Collaboration extends across Cyber Security teams and geographical borders to strengthen detection strategies with CTI at the core.

Requirements
- Expertise applying AI, Machine Learning and statistical models to security and threat data.
- Proficiency hosting and querying databases for large-scale security datasets and automated reporting.
- Experience building causal inference, predictive and machine learning models for threat detection.
- Ability to create real-time visual dashboards from security tooling data.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with focus on requirement gathering and data integrity.
- Subject matter expertise in Cyber Threat Intelligence and cross-team collaboration on detection strategies.
Responsibilities
- Deputise for the Team Lead where required.
- Collaborate with other teams across Cyber to provide data-driven insights that furthers understanding of potential adversaries and attack vectors.
- Manage stakeholders, understanding and collecting priority requirements while ensuring the integrity and accuracy of datasets.
- Collect, process and analyse large datasets to generate informative and actionable insights.
- Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in security tooling using AI and data analysis techniques.
- Host, manage and interrogate databases to deliver automated and ad hoc reporting on security data.
- Develop and refine causal inference, predictive, statistical and machine learning models to enable threat detection.
- Produce daily visual management dashboards using real-time data for cross-team collaboration.
