The Senior Platform Engineer will serve as a senior technical specialist across identity, Azure infrastructure, hybrid environments, and core datacenter services. This hands-on role involves leading troubleshooting for complex incidents, owning configurations and lifecycle management, and conducting root cause analysis. The engineer independently plans and executes work aligned with platform roadmaps, making informed technical decisions balancing performance, reliability, and security.
The role is part of the Platform Team within Digital Core, driving modern platform engineering, automation, Zero Trust security, and cloud-first operations. The engineer will collaborate with cloud, security, and network teams to engineer an efficient, resilient platform. Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on platform engineering, identity services, or cloud/infrastructure operations.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity, Conditional Access, MFA, and Privileged Access Management.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as PowerShell, Terraform, or Bicep for automation.
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture and modern authentication flows.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Defender, Sentinel, and Log Analytics for monitoring and security.
- Familiarity with security frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS benchmarks.
- Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills for complex incidents.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior technical specialist across identity, Azure infrastructure, hybrid environments, and core datacenter services.
- Lead troubleshooting for complex incidents and performance challenges, owning configurations and lifecycle management.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement robust technical improvements.
- Independently plan, prioritize, and execute work aligned with platform roadmaps and operational needs.
- Implement and optimize Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity, Conditional Access, MFA, and Privileged Access Management.
- Strengthen Zero Trust architecture and automate provisioning using PowerShell, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Use Azure Monitor, Defender, Sentinel, and Log Analytics to improve visibility and detection, ensuring alignment with ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS benchmarks.
