About this role

Our team is dedicated to Analytics/Reporting and Data Engineering development, design, architecture, and solutions based on requirements. We collaborate closely with various engineering teams in Enterprise Technology Service (ETS). We also work with all Business Units across Navy Federal Credit Union to understand their data and reporting needs and develop tailored solutions to support business objectives.

Assist in data analysis and validation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with defined business metrics and KPIs. Support the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and scorecards using enterprise BI tools. Help with automation of data preparation tasks such as generating data dictionary and source to target mapping.

Assist with documentation of data pipelines, data sets, and data definitions using enterprise standards. Provide support to the assigned department on small projects or portions of larger projects. Collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks and assignments.

Assist in building and maintaining data ingestion and transformation pipelines for enterprise data ecosystem on cloud. Perform research and analysis, including quantitative and/or qualitative analysis. A requirement is current enrollment in college level courses or a degree-seeking program throughout the internship; upload transcripts.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university, preferably Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, IT Management or related fields
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL
  • Understanding of Data Engineering, Analytics and data architecture concepts
  • Knowledge of Data Engineering, APIs, and cloud development
  • Adaptability to new technologies
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
